What is the relationship between the St. Francis Foundation and the Child Development Center of St. Joseph and Villa St. Francis?

The St. Francis Foundation, the Child Development Center of St. Joseph and Villa St. Francis are all sponsored by the Felician Sisters. The Child Development Center of St. Joseph and Villa St. Francis provide needed services and programs to children and seniors, respectively. The St. Francis Foundation raises funds to support the work of the Child Development Center of St. Joseph and Villa St. Francis.

The St. Francis Foundation manages the fund development duties of these two ministries so that staff at the Child Development Center of St. Joseph and Villa St. Francis can focus their attention and time on continuing to provide the highest quality of services at their respective organizations.

Where does my money go when I donate to the St. Francis Foundation?

The money you donate to the St. Francis Foundation is used to support the Felician sponsored ministry you indicate with your payment. If you designate your gift for the Child Development Center of St. Joseph or Villa St. Francis, that money is used for that specified organization. If you do not designate where the money should go, it will be put into an “unrestricted” fund and used at either/both entities where the need is greatest.

Is my gift to the St. Francis Foundation tax deductible?

Yes, all gifts made to the St. Francis Foundation are tax-deductible as allowed by law. We are a 501(c) 3 organization, as recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service.

Does the St. Francis Foundation raise money for St. Francis Hospital?

The St. Francis Foundation is no longer affiliated with St. Francis Hospital. This change occurred in January 2005. St. Francis Hospital has its own fund raising office. The funds you give to the St. Francis Foundation support the Child Development Center of St. Joseph and Villa St. Francis, exclusively.
